I am committed to a reasonable, compassionate, and comprehensive approach to representing my clients. My areas of practice address the most fundamental aspects of human life: family, financial independence, and the right to a fair trial. I pursue knowledge not only of the law, but psychology, parenting, and financial topics — all of which are critical to my clients’ cases.

My extensive trial experience allows me to negotiate from a position of strength, as I am always prepared to take a case to trial when it is in your best interest. I am often appointed by the family courts as a Guardian Ad Litem and as an Attorney Representing Children, roles that offer additional perspective on the problems my clients face. I focus on being part of the solution, not the problem.

My public service background has centered on providing assistance to victims, witnesses, and defendants in the criminal and family courts. This allows me not only to represent you with empathy, but also to negotiate effectively with the other side. Having prosecuted domestic violence and child abuse cases and served as a rape crisis counselor, I am sensitive to the most devastating of situations. I recognize that in many cases, the wrong person is identified as the perpetrator of abuse in the home. I have successfully discovered evidence that has convinced the District Attorney’s Office dismissing my client’s criminal case over the accuser’s objection – and even resulted in the accuser ending up facing criminal charges.

I am an involved member of professional organizations and the communities I call home.

When I am not lawyering, I enjoy cross-stitching, yoga, and figuring out new ways to amuse my children. I live with my family on the North Shore. Missing this.
